About us
Fourteen women, one shared kitchen, and a lot of mango pickle.
Sakhi began in 2012 when fourteen women in Sanwer pooled ₹50 a week and a family recipe (sample story). The pickle sold out at the village fair.
Today the collective brings together 48 self-help groups and 620 women. Members own the groups, elect the leaders and decide what to make.
