About

A roastery that happens to serve coffee

Third Pour started in 2019 (sample) as a roaster supplying three cafes. People kept asking to drink it here, so we put in a bar.

Why "third pour"?

On a V60, the first pour wakes the grounds up. The second does most of the work. The third pour is where you decide what the cup will taste like: a little more for sweetness, a little less for brightness. That's the part we care about.

Everything we brew is Indian, from estates in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh that we visit every harvest. We pay above the market price, and print the estate's name on every bag.

  • Weighed, not guessed. Every shot and pour is brewed on a scale.
  • Roasted this week. Beans leave the shelf three weeks after roasting.
  • Named farms. Every bag names the estate it came from.
  • Milk choices. Oat, almond and soy, at no judgement.
