About
We're Studio Aangan. We design homes that feel like Gujarat, not like a catalogue.
Studio Aangan was started in 2014 by Riya Patel, an architect trained at CEPT (sample). Today we're a team of 14 designers, site engineers and craftspeople, and we've finished 140 homes, offices and cafés.
Our name means courtyard. Every home we design has one, even if it's just a sunny corner with a jhoola. We use materials that suit our climate (lime, stone, terracotta, teak) and work with local karigars whose craft deserves to be seen.
We're also honest about money. You get a room-by-room budget before we start, and a fixed handover date.

My mother says the house finally breathes. We all end up on the jhoola every evening.

They gave us a budget room by room, and stuck to it. That never happens.
