I'm Meera. I design for the next 500 million people coming online.
For 9 years I've designed products for people who are often left out of design: first-time smartphone users, people who read Hindi or Tamil before English, and families who share one phone.
I start by listening. Most of my best ideas came from sitting next to someone in a cyber café or a clinic waiting room and watching them get stuck. Then I sketch, test and test again, until the screen gets out of the way.
I studied interaction design at NID Ahmedabad (sample), and I've led design at two startups before going independent.
