Setu means bridge. R. K. Deshpande started the company in 2001 with a single road roller and a district road contract near Nagpur (sample story).
Today Setu is a Class AA contractor building highways, bridges, hospitals and water networks in eleven states, with its own plant, laboratories and a workforce of 3,800.
