About
I'm Kabir. I photograph weddings the way they felt, not the way they were posed.
I've photographed 250 weddings in 11 years, from small courtyard pheras to week-long palace celebrations. What I look for is the same every time: the glance between the couple during the varmala, the uncle who dances first, the grandmother who quietly wipes her eyes.
I work with a small team of six: three photographers, two filmmakers and an editor. We stay out of the way, keep the family photos fast, and spend the rest of the day watching.
When I'm not at a wedding, I'm photographing the craftspeople and night streets of Jaipur, where I grew up.

We cried watching the film. He caught my nani dancing at the sangeet, which nobody else saw.
