About us
We're trekkers first. The company came later.
Tenzing Negi led his first group up Kedarkantha in 2012 with borrowed tents (sample story). Today Himkhand runs eight treks in three states, but we still cap groups at 16 and still carry the stretcher.
About 1,800 trekkers a year walk with us. Every leader holds a mountaineering course certificate and a wilderness first-aid card.
How we travel
Safety first
Oximeter checks twice a day. We turn back when we must.
Leave no trace
Every wrapper comes down with us.
Local crews
Guides, cooks and porters from the trek villages.
Small groups
Never more than 16, with a leader for every 8.

What travellers say
The finder suggested Brahmatal for my January week off. The gear list told me exactly what to rent. I owned nothing but shoes.
Siddharth, Bengaluru, January 2026 (sample)
Ritika turned our group around 200 m below the pass when the weather closed in. That's the leader you want.
Ananya and friends, Hampta Pass, August 2025 (sample)
Hot soup at every camp, clean toilet tents and a leader who knew all our names by day two.
Rohan Mehra, Kedarkantha, December 2025 (sample)
