A clinic started by a dentist who is also a mum
Dr. Meera opened Gulmohar in 2016 (sample) after one too many children left other clinics in tears. The idea was simple: make the dentist somewhere families don't dread.
How we're different
We book longer appointments for children, so nobody is rushed. We explain each step before we do it, using words children understand. And a parent is always welcome in the room.
Grown-ups get the same care. Many of our adult patients are nervous too, and we're happy to go slowly, take breaks, and stop whenever you raise your hand.
- Tell, show, do. We tell your child what's next, show them the tool, then do it.
- Raise a hand to stop. Any patient, any age, can pause treatment by raising a hand.
- A kids' corner. Books, crayons and a tooth-brushing puppet in the waiting area.
- Sterile, always. Every instrument is sterilised in a Class B autoclave and opened in front of you.
