About us
A home, not an institution.
Anand Ashram opened in 2008 in a doctor's family home, with eight residents and one nurse (sample story). The idea was simple: a place where elders are cared for like family.
Today 60 residents live here, with nurses around the clock, a memory care wing and a garden full of tulsi, hibiscus and gossip.

In their words
I came here after my wife passed. I didn't expect to laugh again, but the evening bhajans and my chess partner saw to that.

My mother has dementia. The carers know her routine better than I do, and they call me every evening.
Anitha Rao, daughter of a resident (sample)
Our college choir sings here once a month. The residents correct our pitch, and they're always right.

An hour of your time is the best gift.
