Our work

Four ways we keep children learning

Learning centres, sponsorship, support for girls and digital labs, all in Sitapur and Hardoi districts.

Sitapur district

Learning centres

Two hours every afternoon with a trained teacher from the village: reading, maths and homework help, in small groups of 15.

  • 24 centres across Sitapur district
  • Teachers are young women from the same village
  • Reading levels measured every term

1,850 children every evening

Sitapur and Hardoi

Child sponsorship

Sponsorship pays for what keeps a child in school: fees, books, uniforms, a daily breakfast and tutoring. Sponsors get a letter every term.

  • Termly progress letters
  • Visits to the centre on request
  • 80G receipt for every payment (sample)

640 children sponsored this year

Girls Stay in School

The drop from class 8 to class 9 is steepest for girls. We give bicycles, pair each girl with a mentor and meet parents every month.

  • Bicycles for girls whose school is over 3 km away
  • A mentor for every girl in classes 9 and 10
  • Monthly mothers' meetings

92% of girls moved to class 9 in 2026 (sample)

Government schools

Digital labs

Six schools have a solar-powered lab with tablets and offline lessons, so children learn to type, search and code even without the internet.

  • Six labs, 120 tablets
  • Offline lessons in Hindi and English
  • Weekly coding club

6 labs running on solar power
