About us
Maths that feels like a game.
Abacus Kids was started in 2010 by Lakshmi Narayanan, a maths teacher who wanted children to stop being afraid of numbers (sample story).
We use the abacus to make numbers something you can see and touch, and then something you can picture in your head. Along the way, children learn to concentrate, remember and trust themselves.

From parents
My son used to count on his fingers. Now he does 3-digit sums in his head faster than me.
Revathi S., parent of an 8-year-old (sample)
The weekly speed tests made her competitive in a good way. She won a gold at the nationals.
Karthik M., parent (sample)
He sits and concentrates for an hour now. His teachers at school noticed it too.
